I tried it again! I had leftover dough from my first Salt dough escapades and I thought about using a monogram “O” stamp I had recently purchased at Michaels. I did that, liked the stamped look and asked Jackson to run outside and and get me some leaves.
Well, hell’s bells! Ding ding, I loved the results! I used a toothpick to make a hole for string and to write on them…and we’re away to the races again!
I have been having a heck of a time finding a nice “Baby’s First Christmas” ornament for Lulu in stores this year. I found some cute options of Etsy, but alas, money is tight and a muuuuuuch cheaper option came to me via pinterest…Salt Dough Ornaments
Have you seen this pin circulating around Pinterest?
The caption reads:: “Tub Cleaner – vinegar and dish soap, no scrubbing! Heat 1/2C white vinegar in m’wave for 90 sec, pour int spray bottle. Add 1/2C BLUE Dawn dish soap. Shake gently to mix. Spray on surface, let it sit 1-2 hours. Just wipe it away then rinse with water. Should also take soap scum off shower doors!”
You can find the source of the pin here.
If you’re like me, you hate cleaning the shower/tub because it’s so labor intensive…put it off and eventually it gets dirty enough that it requires an awful lot of effort to get it clean. In short, it’s a huge chore!
Add to that hard water, years of calcium buildup and grimy (hard working)men and you get some nasty dirty stains.
This pin intrigued me. It looks so simple, and the lack of chemicals always appeals to me. Also, CHEAP!!
I couldn’t resist! I had both the ingredients on hand and time to kill.
I've decided to make a new feature on the Roxycraft blog: "What I'm Pinning Wednesday". I love pinterest! I am on it daily, pinning new stuff everyday. So I'm bringing you into the loop. If you are on pinterest, follow me there too. Enjoy!
